"The care my dad received was excellent. He was always comfortable and warm and enjoyed the food very much. He received regular cups of tea and even a glass of wine. The staff were friendly and attentive. Most importantly his dignity was always respected. My dad was concerned about spending time in respite but his wishes were always respected so he was treated just like at home. High standards but not high price."

"My brother was in Ash Croft House for palliative end of life care. I couldn't have wished for him to be in a more caring place. All the staff treated him with compassion and dignity during the last few weeks of his life. The kindness shown to other residents was obvious too. "When dad first came to Woodlands Manor he did so because we as a family liked the homely feeling and friendliness of the staff. Since that time dads, dementia has changed sometimes altering his personality and occasionally causing distress, during these difficult times dad has always been treated with dignity and respect. I have always been included in decisions and advised of any concerns. I feel confident that any difficult times ahead will be approached in the same way with professionalism and care."

"Cedar Grange Care Home is a lovely friendly place. The staff appear to be very dedicated to the service users and appear to genuinely care about them. I visited a few care homes before choosing Cedar Grange, it possessed a lot of warmth and felt inviting. The manager appears to have some good innovative ideas which contribute to the well being of residents."

"The nursing home is in an attractive area of town in a reasonably quiet neighbourhood. It is a converted building but the conversion has been carried out as well as the structure allows. The standard of cleanliness is good; the staff are well-motivated, friendly, helpful and very responsive to need, and are, in my view, outstandingly good. In fact, they are the main strength of the service."

"My wonderful late husband stayed at this beautiful home recently. The care was outstanding. I spent some time with the clinical manager and her nursing team whilst he was very poorly and the new care manager, my apologies her name escapes me. All extremely caring and knowledgable. What would have normally been a very distressing time for us all was made into a loving one by the staff. I would like to thank the clinical manager for giving me that extra time, I was such a mess, her empathy meant a lot to us all. I only have one constructive criticism and that is the lady in the office is too quick on the phone and in person, sometimes we need more time as climbing those awful stairs at my age was a chore. Maybe the offices would be better suited where families and residents can access them. I do talk to all my friends about the lovely experience we have had, thank you."

"My mother has been in Ash Croft for nine years now, she has Alzheimer's disease. The home is always clean and smells nice. The food provided for my mother's needs is excellent. The manager is always available and encourages feedback. There is an excellent team of carers and nurses who I can see actually "care" about the residents and relatives. I feel very fortunate to have found such a great environment for my mother to be looked after in."

"My husband went into care 6 months ago. He is extremely well cared for. My daughter and I are always welcomed. Information is given each time we visit. Any problems we are contacted straight away. I have complete peace of mind with my husband's care. It is clean and the food is lovely. The staff, from cleaner to the high flyer are wonderful people and we are greeted by our names, which I find is nice."

"Having to find a suitable care home while my sister was in hospital and unable to return to live in her flat was very worrying but the staff were very reassuring and the move went very smoothly.
