Philosophy of Care

The Cedars Care Group philosophy is taking good care of people. We extend that to everyone: residents, visitors and staff. Here is our Philosophy of care.

  1. All people who live and work at the Cedars Care Group homes and all people who visit will be treated with respect and dignity at all times.
  2. We aim to offer person-centred support that enables the people who live and work with us to achieve their optimum potential and state of health and well-being.
  3. We uphold the human and citizenship rights of all who live and work at our homes, and all who visit.
  4. Independence, individual choice, and personal decision-making are the rights of all residents, and Cedars Care Group staff will support them.
  5. The privacy and confidentiality of all individuals will be respected at all times. All information relating to individuals, whether residents or staff, will be treated confidentially.

What our families say

"Due to the lockdown, the home is not available to for visits nor are residents allowed out. This is good under the covid19 conditions. I was allowed a 1/2 hour visit two weeks ago, and not having seen my brother for four months, he was very communicative and in excellent health. We talked as if I had seen him only a week before the visit. The home is doing an excellent job of caring for my brother."
