Cedar Grange Care Centre
Welcome home to true care for elderly residents and people living with dementia, in Southport, Merseyside.
At Cedar Grange Care Centre, we’ve combined a stimulating environment conducive to dementia care, with tasteful interiors and the lovingly preserved original features of a property dating back to the 1900s.
Cedar Grange has 35 bedrooms with stylish décor and high standard furnishings. Our themed communal areas are where residents put their feet up in the company of others and/or join in social activities. These include the bright and airy Family Room, the Garden Room, and everyone’s particular favourite, the Music Room. Here, residents enjoy listening to musicals from the 40s, 50s and 60s, as well as legends like Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby.
A separate resident’s kitchen allows our residents the freedom and independence to prepare themselves a cup of tea and sandwich if they feel peckish outside of meal times. Dedicated staff are always on hand to guide activities and assist with individual needs. Cedar Grange also boasts a Remembrance Garden with memorial plaques, where we hold an annual remembrance day for past residents.
At Cedar Grange, we specialise in End of Life Care, and have received the Gold Standards Framework award by the National GSF Centre. It is one of two Cedars Care Group care homes based in Southport. The other, is Woodlands Manor which also holds the GSF award for end of life care. In 2021 we were awarded GSF Platinum accreditation status, of which we are extremely proud.
Activities for Body & Mind

We believe that every individual has his/her own story to tell. At Cedars Care Group homes, we make it our business to get to know the people we care for by spending time with them. Remembering past achievements, and the good old days, often helps to maintain a sense of self and fulfilment.
Family visits and family involvement are vital to the wellbeing of our residents. That’s why we aim to provide an environment that’s comfortable and invigorating for both residents and their visitors. Our planned activities and events are key opportunities for family participation and support. While the option of privacy is always available.
Personal Space & Personalised Care
Familiarity and reminiscence is invaluable. It keeps our residents connected with life; can ease the transition into care; and is helpful in improving memory skills for people with Dementia. At Cedar Grange, all our residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with small belongings and photographs. This makes a world of difference and encourages a sense of belonging.
We offer several types of stay depending on the level of support required: Respite Care; Residential Care; Terminally-ill Care; as well as Dementia Care for every stage of dementia. Each resident receives personalised support in accordance with his/her individual care plan, under the supervision of a dedicated home manager.
At Cedar Grange we actively seek feedback. It helps us ensure our care home continues to offer the highest quality support and care, tailored to the needs of our individual residents.
