Fantastic news for Woodlands Manor
Woodland Manor is very pleased to share with you the following announcement by The National Dementia Care Accreditation Scheme.
WOODLANDS MANOR CARE HOME AWARDED DEMENTIA CARE ACCREDITATION ACCOLADE
It means that Woodland Manor Care home is being effectively managed and governed to the nationally agreed industry standard for Dementia Care. Becoming Accredited demonstrates that the care home takes effective Dementia Care seriously for its residents and has been recognised as a specialist provider.
Accreditation gives confidence to families and the people who live in Woodlands Manor that they are being supported to the best possible standard. It also gives confidence to new prospective families who may wish to consider Woodlands Manor for their relative who is living with dementia.
Accreditation covers care homes of all types and sizes – from the smallest family-run care homes to national care groups – and more than 500 care homes are currently registered for the scheme across the UK.
More information about the Accreditation scheme can be found at www.nadcas.org.uk.
Sam Dondi-Smith, Partner at Dementia Experts who assess and award the accreditation said: “We’re delighted that Woodlands Manor has been successful in gaining their Accreditation status. This means that their Dementia care provision has been assessed in over 130 areas relating to the environment, person-centred practices, team approach and training. They have provided us with sufficient evidence to enable our awarding board of partners to recognise them as an exceptional provider of Dementia Care in their area.”
