About Us

At Cedars Care Group, our nursing, care and residential homes are small and intimate. Many of our residents and their families describe our homes as, ‘a home away from home.’ That to us is testament that dementia, Alzheimer’s and old age need not be as bleak or frightening as it might initially feel.

A family run company, Cedars Care Group began in 2003, when Ty and Sarah Yilmaz purchased their first care home. Having elderly parents of their own at the time, their work was driven by a genuine empathy for residents and their families. With Ty managing operations and Sarah in charge of finance and administration, they put heart, sweat and tears into building a standard of care they’d feel comfortable entrusting their own parents to.

Today, Cedars Care Group runs six boutique homes across the UK, offering nursing, dementia and elderly care. Our specialist carers provide personalised support and stimulating activities that enable each resident to lead a fulfilling life. Sarah (Director) and Ty (CEO) still play a major role in the day-to-day running of the company. Both have a hands-on approach to managing staff of all levels. To that end, they can often be found in the kitchens of our homes, cooking a Christmas dinner for residents, or in the gardens cutting grass.

Ty is onsite at the homes throughout the working week, and sometimes even weekends. He knows the residents by name and works alongside staff to ensure Cedars Care Group is providing the highest level of personalised service at each and every home. Read CEO’s Message

What our families say

5 Starts for Woodlands Manor! From the moment my daughter and I walked in, we knew it was the right place for my husband. The manager and all the staff were very kind and welcoming. The care given to my husband was outstanding in every respect. We were able to visit/ring at any time and the manager always made herself available. The care was not only for my husband but for all of us, especially me. My husband died a few weeks ago. The end-of-life care provided meant that his passing was very calm and peaceful. He had everything that was needed. Our needs were taken care of too. We were consulted/kept informed throughout. It might seem a small thing, but even the regular provision of tea, biscuits and freshly made sandwiches meant a lot. It enabled us as a family to concentrate on my husband. Many thanks to all the staff, especially the manager.
