Philosophy of Care

The Cedars Care Group philosophy is taking good care of people. We extend that to everyone; residents, visitors and staff. Here is our Philosophy of care.

  1. All people who live and work at the Cedars Care Group homes, and all people who visit, will be treated with respect and dignity at all times.
  2. We aim to offer person centred-support that enables the people who live and work with us, to achieve their optimum potential, state of health and well-being.
  3. We uphold the human and citizenship rights of all who live and work at our homes, and all who visit.
  4. Independence, individual choice and personal decision-making are the right of all residents and will be supported by Cedars Care Group staff.
  5. The privacy and confidentiality of all individuals will be respected at all times. All information relating to individuals, whether resident or staff, will be treated in a confidential manner.

What our families say

5 Starts for Woodlands Manor! From the moment my daughter and I walked in, we knew it was the right place for my husband. The manager and all the staff were very kind and welcoming. The care given to my husband was outstanding in every respect. We were able to visit/ring at any time and the manager always made herself available. The care was not only for my husband but for all of us, especially me. My husband died a few weeks ago. The end-of-life care provided meant that his passing was very calm and peaceful. He had everything that was needed. Our needs were taken care of too. We were consulted/kept informed throughout. It might seem a small thing, but even the regular provision of tea, biscuits and freshly made sandwiches meant a lot. It enabled us as a family to concentrate on my husband. Many thanks to all the staff, especially the manager.
